Bobby Hull, known for his combination of blazing speed and hard shot, played 15 seasons with the Chicago Blackhawks. Hull scored 58 goals in 1968-69 setting a new NHL record at the time. As one of the premier NHL players in 1972, Hull shocked the hockey world when he decided to quit the NHL and join the new WHA. The two leagues would eventually merge years later.
