Daniel Brière born in Gatineau, Quebec, plays for the Philadelphia Flyers.In 1998, Brière won the Dudley 'Red' Garrett Memorial Award as the top rookie of the American Hockey League. Brière started in the 2007 NHL All-Star Game in Dallas, Texas, where he was awarded the game's Most Valuable Player Award after recording a game-high five points (one goal, four assists).In 2007, the Philadelphia Flyers signed Briere to an eight-year contract worth $52 million. He is now one of the top paid players in the NHL.
