Dany Heatley, was drafted 2nd overall by the Atlanta Thrashers in the 2000 NHL entry draft. He won the Calder Trophy awarded to the rookie of the year in 2002. Heatley was also selected as the MVP of the 2003 NHL all-star game, tying the record for most goals scoring 4 times. He also became the youngest player with an all-star hat-trick bettering Wayne Gretzky by 1 day.
