Detroit Red Wings, play in the Western Conference and are 1 of five teams in the Central Division. Formerly known as the Cougars and the Falcons, the team name was changed to the Red Wings in 1932 by team owner James Norris. The Red Wings were named after an amateur team he had once played for called the Winged Wheelers. Detroit wears uniforms of red and white and their home arena is at the Joe Louis Arena in Detroit, Michigan.
