Jonathan Toews plays centre for the Chicago Blackhawks. In 2005, he was captain of Canada’s Team Western at the World U-17 hockey challenge capturing the gold as well as earning the tournament’s MVP honour. Next year, he played for Team Canada at the 2006 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships. In 2007, Toews joined Team Canada again at the same tournament. He led Team Canada in scoring, and led the team to its 3rd straight Gold Medal. He scored a point in each of his first 10 NHL games, which is the second longest streak to start an NHL career.
