Mike Modano, was drafted 1st overall by the Minnesota North Stars at the 1988 NHL Entry draft. In 1993-94, the team was moved and re-named the Dallas Stars. Modano scored 75 points in his rookie year and is recognized as one of the best American players to every play hockey. He led the Stars franchise to their first ever Stanley Cup in 1999.
