Minnesota was awarded another NHL team in 1997 named the Wild, as a result of a fan write-in campaign. The name reflects Minnesota's wildlife. The team colors are red, forest green, harvest gold, and wheat and their home arena is the Xcel Energy Center in Saint Paul, Minnesota.
