Rick Nash, was drafted 1st overall in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft by the Columbus Blue Jackets. Prior to entering the NHL he won the OHL rookie of the year award in 2001. He was also a member of Canada's silver medal World Junior team in 2002. As a finalist for the Calder trophy in his rookie year, Nash had a break out year in his second season in the league. He was the co-winner of the Maurice Richard Trophy as leagues top goal scorer.
